Lapses
No one is perfect, and there may be some lapses of integrity based on lack of knowledge of a situation or an impulsive emotion. Everyone has failings. But they cannot be tolerated or allowed to continue when discovered.
If there are lapses in an employee's integrity, or if the violation is severe enough, it is time to do the employee and yourself a favor and terminate the employment. Termination does several things.
First, it makes clear to the employee that there is a problem that must be dealt with. Second, it allows you to be sure that breaches of integrity do not spill over and infect other employees.
