日本のフィギュアスケート選手、勝生勇利（かつきゆうり）が、世界選手権5連覇を成し遂げたロシアの選手ヴィクトル・ニキフォロフの指導の下、「ロシアの妖精」ユーリ・プリセツキーをはじめとするライバルたちと切磋琢磨しながらグランプリファイナルで頂点を目指す物語です。
