特殊重曹をブラスト処理した結果、全ての被検植物に対して短時間にネクロシスを引き起こす殺草効果が確認された。次に新たな実験区を設け、そこに生育している植物に対してブラスト処理を行い、特殊重曹の土壌残留性について検討した。土壌における水溶性ナトリウムイオン濃度、電気伝導度およびpHは、処理後1ヶ月に一過的な上昇が確認された。このことから、特殊重曹の土壌残留性および植物に対する毒性は小さいことが示唆された。

As a result of processes of blasting special sodium, herbicidal effects causing necrosis against all of the test plants in a short time period were confirmed. Then, a new experimental zone was set up and plants growing within the zone were blasting processed and the soil residue was studied. Within a month after the processing, a transient rise was confirmed concerning water-soluble sodium ion concentration in the soil, the electrical conductivity, and pH. The result of the above studies eventually suggests that soil residue of special sodium and the toxicity against plants are comparatively small.
