例えばエンジンは、できるだけ低いフロントのできるだけ後ろに積む、重量物はできるだけホイルベースの間に置く。
その典型なのがウォッシャータンクをホイルベースの間の一番低い位置に置く、あるいはラジエータがフロントになくて、リアラジエータがあること、トランスミッションを後ろにつけたこと。
