Colossiansが書かれたのはColosseの町で間違った教えが広まり、教会の存在を脅かしていたからです。Paulが受けた知らせがどんな物であったのかは分かりませんが、間違った教えに対するPaulの応答がこの手紙なのです。このPaulの応答から、広まっていた教えは間違ったキリスト像であった事(おそらくキリストが完全に人であり、完全に神であるという事と相反する教え)がわかります。また、Paulはユダヤ教的な割礼に重点を置く教えも非難しています
The reason why Colosians book was written was the wrong teaching had spreaded in Colosse town and threatened the presence of the church. We can't know what kind of news Paul got,this letter was his response for wrong teaching,From his response we can know teaching which spreaded was wrong Christ image.(Perhaps Christ is completely human .This teaching was contradict to that Chist was God).And also Paul blamed the teaching which put importance on the circumcision like Juaism.
