学会のため、研究室への参加が日程的に困難となりました。
そのため、4月初旬に渡米し、4月12日から、もしくは、月の途中からの参加が困難であれば、5月1日から仕事をはじめることはできないでしょうか？

Because of this conference, I will not be able to arrive in the US on April 1st as I scheduled. I am now thinking of traveling there in early April and start working on April 12th. If this would cause any problems, I am wondering if I could start on May 1st. I would very much appreciate it if you could let me know of your suggestions.
