セブン&アイは、今年の10月からオムニチャネルの統合サイトを本格稼働する予定だ。統合サイトでセブン&アイのグループ各社の商品を注文でき、セブン-イレブンや自宅で受け取れるようになる。同社は、オムニチャネルを「成長の第2ステージ」の中核として、2013年10月にオムニチャネル推進プロジェクトを設置。2013年12月には、通販大手の「ニッセン」を買収した。サイトオープンに合わせて商品開発を進めているという。
Seven & i holdings will go into full scale operation of the integrated site of Omni Channel from this October. Users will be able to order items of its each company on the site, and get them at Seven & Eleven stores or the user's home. The company thought the Omni Channel as a core of its 2nd development process, and has set "Omni Channel Promotion Project" in October, 2013. It acquired major mail order company "Nissen" in December, 2013. The company said, it goes forward its product development according to the site opening schedule.
