ここまではの所要時間は、宝登山神社本殿より登山道で徒歩一時間弱、ロープウェイでは5分程度です。
この宝登山は漢字で「宝の山に登る」と書くため、非常に縁起が良いとされています。標高は497mなので、ゆっくりと登山もいいでしょう。

山頂に着くとお茶屋と売店があり、様々なローカルフードやお土産を購入することができます。
冬のロウバイ、春の桜、初夏のツツジ、そして秋には紅葉と、四季折々に美しく表情を変える山頂からの景色を眺めながら、甘酒や焼き芋を味わうのがいいでしょう。

To get here, it will take around 1-hour walk on a mountain trail from Hodosan Shrine Honden or 5-minute ride on a cable car. This Hodosan is considered as very lucky, because its Chinese character carries the meaning of "climb up the treasure mountain."

You can find a tea house and kiosk at the peak, where enables you to buy various local foods or souvenirs. Enjoying a view from the peak, you can feel beautiful four seasons; Japanese allspice in winter, cherry blossoms in spring, azaleas in early summer and momiji (maple) in autumn, in addition to that you can taste amazake (sweet fermented rice drink) or baked sweet potato there.
