The cherry blossoms have been the special which is clearly different from other plants since affected by Kokuhu culture in the Heian period.
Innumerable cherry trees are planted everywhere such as streets, parks, riverbeds and around the schools all around the country in Japan, so the scenery in the city change drastically during the season.
A lot of people visit the famous places for its cherry blossoms, and they sometimes have customs of drinking party that have been over 1,000 years.
It is about from late March through early April every year during blossoming period but there are differences of areas or varieties.
They bloom at the same time when spring comes, then they fall off in about just two weeks gracefully. The appearance like that is compared to the fragility of life, and it is a part of the outlook of Japanese lives.
