日本の若者の70.1%が社会の役に立つことをしたいと考えている。この1年間でボランティアをした若者は、約20%と低い水準にとどまっている。
企業が社会貢献活動を積極的に行うことである。その企業に所属している者が参加するのはもちろんとこと、インターンシップのような大学生の就職活動の場としても活用することで、若者のボランティアに対する取り組みが増加するだろう。このように、より多くの若者が活動できる環境づくりや相互の交流を推進することで、ボランティアの参加意欲を高めることができる。

70.1% of Japanese young people want to contribute to their society. The rate of the young people who had engaged in any volunteer activity in the last year remained as low as 20%.
It is companies who should more actively play a role in developing activities serving their society. Obviously, those who belong to a company should partake in such activities but the company may also use the opportunities to offer chances of getting jobs for university students as an internship does, which will lead to more young people getting into volunteer activities. In this way, by preparing an environment where more young people can play his role, and by promoting mutual interaction among them, we can enhance their motivation for participating in volunteer activities.
