日本展示会協会（石積忠夫会長）は１月８日、ＡＮＡインターコンチネンタルホテル東京で新年懇親会を行なった。参加者は過去最多の約７１０人。

開会の挨拶に登壇した石積会長は、２０２０年までの目標を掲げ、その達成のための３つの戦略を新たに発表した。具体的には、①展示会の本数を３倍の１０００展に、②会場の拡張・新設で国内総展示面積を３倍に、③日展協会員数を３倍の１０００社・団体にするというもの。

「展示会産業の規模が３倍になれば日本経済の波及効果は計り知れない」と新年の決意を述べた。

On January 8th, Japan Exhibition Association (with Chairman Mr. Ishizumi Tadao ) , held a New Year Gathering at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel, Tokyo. The participants mostly recorded at about 710 people.

Mr. Ishizumi as the chairman who appeared at the podium for the opening remarks, set a target until the year 2020, and announced three new strategies for achieving them. They are specifically :
① Increase the number of exhibition by three times to become 1000 exhibitions, ② Increase domestic whole exhibition by three times by the expansion and construction of new venue, and ③ Increase Fine Arts Exhibition Association Member Number by three times with 1000 companies and organizations.

"If the scale of the exhibition industry got larger by three times, the ripple effect of the Japanese economy would be immeasurable " he said as the New Year's resolution.
