演武場建設の歴史や塔時計が付けられたいきさつ、農学校生徒の英語による学習の様子、時計台を取り上げた歌と小説、修復工事の映像など様々な角度から時計台を学ぶことができる。
時計台の鐘
演武場はかつて「農学校の大時計」と呼ばれていた。農学校が移転し札幌区が演武場を譲り受けた頃より「時計台」と呼ばれるように。都心のビル化が進む以前、鐘は一里四方に響き渡り市民に澄んだ鐘の音を届けていた。

Visitors can learn the history of building theater and details of why the clock tower was constructed as well as scenery of students learning English at the Sapporo agricultural college, songs and novels themed the clock tower, and video showing rehabilitation of the clock tower from various points of view.
Bell of Sapporo Clock Tower;
The theater was used to be called “Clock Tower of Sapporo Agricultural College”.
After the college was transferred to the other place and Sapporo City Provincial office took over the ownership, the theater has been called “Clock Tower”
Before many building were constructed at the center of Sapporo City, the sound of bell of Sapporo Clock tower echoed throughout the city delivering clear sound of bell to city residences.
