祐天寺は、東横線の特急・急行は停まりませんが、渋谷まで6分という立地のため若者から人気のある街のひとつです。駅名になっている「祐天寺」は駅から徒歩6分の場所にあり、古くから徳川将軍吉宗の浄財喜捨や特別の保護を受けるなど、徳川家と因縁のある寺として栄えてきた目黒区の名所のひとつです。
