貴方が私達の作品や伝統に敬意を表してくれるのはとても嬉しいです

そして、出来れば今後も日本刀や日本の歴史そのものに対する興味を持ち続けて欲しいと思います

ただ、弟子入りの件ですが一族と色々と考えましたが、現在は弟子入りを募集していません

刀匠になるには、最短でも10年間ほぼ無休、無給で修行をしつづける必要があり

これらの受け入れ態勢を築くのには莫大なコストを必要とします

貴方を受け入れたいのはやまやまですが、現在は断念せざるを得ません

I am sorry for the late response.
I am very happy that you honor our works and tradition.
And I would like you to keep being interested in Japanese sword and history.

But about taking pupils, after the consideration with my relatives, we decided to not take any pupils at this moment.

To be a swordsman, it takes at least 10years everyday without day off and salaries.
Accepting those conditions takes tremendous cost.

I do want to accept you but I have to give up.

I hope you understand this situation.
