Since the temple frequently appears in the classic literature in Japan like “Makura no soshi”, “Genji Monogatari”, “Sarashina Nikki”, we can understand the temple has been very popular since the ancient time.
This is the entrance path to Hasedara.
Go through the pine tunnel to the back room.
Then you can see the historical building.
Is this the main hall? No, this is still the entrance of the temple.
The corridor for the main hall
The place you can see ahead is “Nobori Ro”
As many as 399 steps of the stairway leads you to the main hall.
Climbing one step by one by yourself, you can realize the value of the temple.
