姫路城は国宝、世界文化遺産となっている日本の宝とも言えるお城です。現在の城郭は池田輝政の手により１７世紀初頭に形作られたもので、姫路城の歴史は１４世紀にはじまります。姫路の街はお城を中心に昔ながらの雰囲気を持ち、はじめて訪れてもどこか懐かしい気持ちになるでしょう。

Himeji Castle (Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture)


As the Himeji Castle is a National Treasure at the same time it is placed on the World Cultural Heritage List, it can be considered as a Japanese Treasure. Although the history of Himeji Castle begun in 14th Century, Ms. Terumasa Ikeda built the form of present castle wall in early 17th century. The City of Himeji has preserved historic atmosphere centered on the castle that will remind people’s old days even the first visitors.
