ファーストガンダムからの直系の続編。劇場版も公開された。
ジオン公国軍に勝利した地球連邦軍は増長し、コロニーに対し、支配と圧力を強めていた。やがて連邦軍内部に「ジオンの残党狩り」を名目に、スペースノイドへの強権的制裁を加えるエリート部隊「ティターンズ」が創設された。急速に勢力を拡大したティターンズに反発する一部の連邦軍人やスペースノイド達は、反地球連邦組織「エゥーゴ」を結成する。

It's a direct sequel to First Gundam. The feature version was also released.
Since the victory over the Zeon Forces, the Earth Federation Forces, growing impudent, has been strengthening control over the colonies. Soon in the name of hunting the remnants of Zeon, the Elite Forces "Titans" were established to apply sanctions with an iron fist to space noids. Some Federal military men who are against the fast-growing Titans and space noids form the Anti-Earth Union Group "AEUG."
