APIで動画を取得する場合、Adsenseは併用できません
表示はできますが時間が経てばアカウントが凍結されるでしょう
X、Y、どちらともAdsenseの併用はNGです
もちろん手動で1つずつ埋め込む場合は問題ありません
以上が有名サイトにAdsenseがない理由です

規約は以下に書いてあると思います(解釈が難しいですが)

逆を言うとそれ以外はOKということです

When downloading movies through API, Adsense cannot be used.
The movie is able to be uploaded, but the account will be locked in time.
Either D nor Y can not be used with Adsense.
It is no problem if filling in one by one manually.
That is the reason why the famous site does not use Adsense.

The rule must be defined below (it is difficult to understand though)

According to the rule, it is not allowed if Adsense is used at the same time as playing movies.
In other word, it can be ok except for these situation.
