アニメ雑誌『月刊ニュータイプ』2007年8月号の付録にて、埼玉県鷲宮町（現在は久喜市）の鷲宮神社を始めとした、いくつかの場所が本作の舞台の1つであると紹介されたことをきっかけに、ファンが聖地巡礼と称して登場した場所を訪れるようになった。

アニメや漫画などの作品において物語の舞台やモデルとなった場所、ゆかりのある場所を「聖地」と呼び、実際に「聖地」を訪問すること。

宗教的行為の聖地巡礼にかけているようですね。すごい人気ぶりです。

Fans become visiting the location of scenes by way of “pilgrimage” because the supplement of an animation magazine “Monthly New Type” released in August, 2007 introduced that some places were one of sets in the animation including the Saginomiy shrine in Saginomiyacho (now Kuki City) of Satitama prefecture

▼By the way, what does the word “pilgrimage” mean?

The word “pilgrimage” is use to mean actually visiting the location of scenes and models in animation and manga considering these places as equivalent to holy places.

It seems to be related to the religious pilgrimage. It must be awfully popular.
