I think the technological strength of Japan is really great. As a matter of fact, the greatness of Japan's technology is does not come from world-wide well known manufacturers.
It comes from Japan's smaller companies. In Tokyo there are areas with many small factories, but even now, when cutting the F1 engine, using high-precision cutting tools, a small factory of 3 or less workers makes it.
This is the root of Japan's technological strength.
But, there are also areas in which Japanese people are less advanced compared to people from all over the world. Of course, and that includes me.. it's in the language ability, isn't it. Especially the speaking ability.

I think Japans techniological strength is quite amazing.
In reality, it is not the world renouned major companies, but the small to medium sized firms that are something special.
Tokyo has many areas with small factories, but even now high-precision cutting tools were used by a team of merely 3 to cut a formula one engine.
This is the root of Japan's technological strength.
however I understand that there are some areas the Japanese fall behind at. naturally including myself, it is language ability is it not. Especially conversation ability.

I'll admit that this wasn't my best example of english writing.
If your not a native english speaker it was very impressive but this was your big mistake - "Japan's technology is does not come" the "is" is not necessary
I'm not native speaker, although I've started learning at a young age, and lived 2 years in London. Indeed, the "is" there is a mistake. I should really triple check my text sometimes, especially when I make a lot of changes to the translated sentences.
