The light grows and we begin to make out shapes and words. We're in a dimly lit transit center, in a world of faceless, sexless shadowy figures who walk slowly and nearly soundlessly. We hear shuffling and a train station whistle. Then our entity gets some surprising news, from a short gray-haired boy dressed in a school uniform of white shirt, blue tie, gray jacket and shorts. The boy, Purapura, excitedly tells our faceless mute protagonist, "Congratulations, you've won our lottery. You're the sinful dead soul of one who made a terrible error." Makoto has won the chance to discover what that terrible error was in a limited time he has back on earth.

La luz crece y nosotros comenzamos a hacer sombras y palabras. Estamos en una calle poco iluminada, en un mundo sin rostros, sin sexo figuras sombrías quienes caminan despacio y casi sin hacer ruido. Oímos arrastrando y una estación de trenes silba. Luego nuestra entidad obtiene algunas noticias sorprendentes, de un chico de cabello corto y gris vestido con uniforme escolar de camiseta blanca, corbata azul, chaqueta y bermudas grises. El chico, Purapura, emocionadamente dice a nuestros protagonistas mudos y sin rostro, "Felicitaciones, han ganado nuestra lotería. Ustedes son una alma muerta pecaminosa de uno que cometió un terrible error". Makoto ha ganado la oportunidad de descubrir qué fue ese terrible error en un tiempo límite él ha vuelto a la tierra.
