2012年度にOCVBが支援したMICE開催は、合計279件で前年度比58.5％増と過去最高を記録。
OCVBでは、国内外における沖縄でのMICE開催の魅力を発信するため、MICE商談会・見本市に参加したほか、沖縄MICEセミナーの開催、MICE関係メディアを活用したプロモーションによる誘致広報活動を実施。
具体的には、商談会・見本市に計5回参加し、延べ100社と商談してMICE開催地である沖縄をPRした。
OCVBでは過去最高件数は「各種誘致活動を積極的に展開した結果」と語った。

MCIE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) sponsored by OCVB (Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau) and held in 2012 received 279 participations which was 58.5% increase and hit the maximum in the past.
The OCVB, in order to transmit to the home and abroad the attractiveness of holding MICE in Okinawa, participated to the MICE business meeting and exhibition along with holding MICE seminar and the enticement and information drive promotion by utilizing the MICE related media.
In particular, the OCVB participated the business meeting and the exhibition five times and taking part in the business discussion with 100 companies in total to PR the Okinawa as MICE venue.

OCVB released statement that “achievement of the maximum participation was the result of deploying the various proactive enticement activities”
