レールガンはとある魔術の禁書目録のスピンオフ作品です。Misaka Mikotoを主人公とした科学サイド中心の作品になっています。なのでINDEXで中心となっていた、Touma KamijoやINDEXはあまり出てきません。INDEXも好きなだけにそれが少し残念です・・・。

２０１３年にはアニメ第２弾が放映される予定で、非常にHOTな作品です。舞台は総人口２３０万人の８割を学生が占める学園都市です。

Railgun is a spin-off work of a magic Index Librorum Prohibitorum. Main character is Misaka Mikoto,and this is mostly about science.So,there is no Touma Kmijo or INDEX,who was main in INDEX.I am little disappointed about it because I like Index.....

This is very HOT work,and in 2013 second animation will be made.The scene is at academic city with 2,300,000 people, 80% of whom are students.
