Sword Art Onlineで不動のヒーローと言えばKiritoです。
日本ではKiritoのことをみんな尊敬しており、敬意を表してKirito-sanと呼んでいます。

1クール目では攻略組のエースとして前線に立ち、強敵を次々と倒していきます。
全キャラクターの中でKiritoしか持っていない二刀流のスキルを使い、ダンジョンの攻略を行い参加者全員の命を救います。
