Yes that video is about right ... It makes running with the bulls in Spain look like a day in the park.
People fight like its thier children they are saving .... when its really only a blender for $10!
Its become an american tradition - one that isnt going away any time soon!!
Bring some snacks if you intend to wait on those long lines, make sure you go to the bathroom (getting back to your spot if you leave is impossible) and be prepared to ignore the humanity your parents, & your country have taught you (Japanese people are more refined then that!)

あの長い列に並ぶつもりならスナックを持ってくること。それから絶対トイレには行っておくこと（その場を離れるのが無理なら、並んでいた所に戻ること）そして親と祖国が教えてくれた人間性を忘れる準備をするんだ（日本の人は上品だからこんなことしないよ！）
