いま、世界のMICEビジネスは成長基調にあります。中でも成長著しいアジアの国際会議開催件数は今後飛躍的に成長すると予測されています。2010年のUIAの統計によると、日本での国際会議の開催件数は世界でアメリカに次いで第2位と前年の5位から順位を上げ一定の地位を占めてはいるものの、各国がMICE市場の成長性を見越して近年急速に注力を始めたため、競争は激化の一途です。日本の競争力を強化し、世界から多くのビジネスマンや観光客を呼び寄せるためにはどうすべきか。
Nowadays, MICE business in the world is experiencing a gradual growth. Especially, the number of international conferences in emerging Asia is supposed to increase dramatically from now. The number of those conferences in Japan moved up from 5th rank for the previous year to 2th rank behind US and maintains its stable position. However, the competition is getting fiercer because each country started focusing in MICE business rapidly these years projecting the gowth potential of MICE markets. What we should do in order to strenghten Japan's comepetitiveness and attract a large number of business people and tourists from the world?
