以前、古い帯芯を譲って頂きましたが
長い年月を感じさせるシミなどがあり
どうやって使おうか頭の片隅に
ずっとありました。
そんな時、昔ながらの伝統的な本藍染で
染めたら素敵な生地となって生まれ変わるだろうな、、
と思い立ちアイヒラコさんの工房へ
持ち込ませて頂きました。
4回染めた帯芯と
5回染めた帯芯。
染めの回数を重ねるほど
濃い色になってくるのですが
素敵な藍色に染まりました。

最初は裏地に使おうかと思っていましたが
こんな綺麗な藍色に染めることが
出来たので帯と合わせて
素敵な作品したいと思ってます

Long ago, I received an obishin, but, due to its age, it has developed stains, and I have always been thinking about using it. At that time, I thought about using an ancient traditional indigo dye to revive the cloth into a lovely piece and I brought it to Aihiraco's workshop. The obishin was dyed four times, and then for a fifth. As the number of layers of dye increased, the colour became deeper, but it became a wonderful indigo.

I had thought at first to use it as lining, but I believe that having come out as such a beautiful indigo, it can work as a replacement of the obi.
