私の母が亡くなったときに、あなた方からの手紙がうれしかった
いただいた手紙を母の仏壇に供えた
母の葬式は家族と彼女の親友だけで小さくやった
コロナで緊急事態宣言が出ていたから
姪っ子たちは３か月間も休校でした
でも家族で一緒に過ごせる時間が多くとれた

日本の家紋はおもしろいよね
父は葬式に参加するとき家紋入りのネクタイをする
それは祖父から受け継いだネクタイ
家紋はどこにも登録しないが、墓石に彫刻してある

I was glad by your letter, when my mother died.
I offered the letter on a family Buddhist altar for mother.
We held a small funeral with our family and her close friend only.
My niece didn’t went to school for three months due to the state of emergency by coronavirus.
But we could spend time together.

Japanese family emblems are interesting.
My father wore a tie which has his family emblem, when going to funeral.
He inherited his tie from my grandfather.
We don’t register our family emblem, but it is carved on our grave.
