We're going to present to you two strategies teachers can implement in the classroom that have been proven to be effective in improving social skills among transition-age students with disabilities..like students transitioning from high-school to college or from high-school to the real-world.
In addition to intreacting with the students themselves, teachers should provide students with unstructured time to practice such skills on each other...like play time, sort of ... when students can interact with each other in pairs and groups and figure out ways to get along.
