インドとミャンマーの国境地帯は3000m級の山が連なる。ここに住むのがナガの人たちだ。インド側はナガランド州、ミャンマー側はサガイン州になる。日本にとって最も悲惨な戦いだったインパール作戦で有名な地域でもある。2000年まで外国人の立ち入りは禁止されていた。最近はきびい制限付きながら、入域は可能である。

On the border between India and Burma, there are a series of mountains over 3000 meters high, and there live Naga people. The state in the Indian side is called Nagaland and Burmese side is Sagaing. This area is known in Japan for the battle of Imphal, one of the most disastrous battles during World War II. Until 2000, foreigners were prohibited to enter this area. Nowadays, it opens also for foreigners with strict limitations.

The mountain of 3000m class ranges to the borderland belt of India and Myanmar. Living here is the people in Naga. As for India, it becomes Nagaland state and as for Myanmar, it becomes Sagainn state. It is a region famous for the Imphal operation that is the most miserable fight for Japan. Foreigner's entry was prohibited until 2000. The insertion region is possible recently though it is strict limitation is needed.

The borders of Indian and Myanmar are connected with montains of 3000 metres high. There live the people of Naga. Nagaland is in the side of Indian while Sagaing is in Myanmar. The area is famous for Janpan's most miserable war against Imphal. Foreigners have been prohibited to enter this zone till 2000. But recently there is possibility for entering despite of the restriction.
