Comment purger / remplacer le liquide de freins avec une bouteille
Respectez l'ordre de purge recommandé par le constructeur
Sur la Peugeot 206, la purge s'effectue dans cet ordre :
Pour un remplacement complet du liquide de frein, aspirez le liquide usagé contenu dans le réservoir du maître cylindre (cette opération n'est pas nécessaire pour une simple purge du circuit)
Remplissez le réservoir avec du liquide de frein neuf
Purge de la roue avant gauche
Déposez le capuchon de protection
Posez la clé sur la vis de purge
Connectez un tuyau souple sur la vis de purge (par exemple un tuyau de lave glace)
La connexion doit être parfaitement étanche : si nécessaire, serrez le tuyau avec un rislan
How to purge / replace the brake fluid with a bottle
Observe the purge order recommended by the manufacturer
On a Peugeot 206 the purge will be done in this order:
For a complete replacement of brake fluid, drain the used liquid contained in the master cylinder reservoir (this operation is not required for a simple purging of the circuit)
Fill the reservoir with the new brake fluid
Purge the left front wheel
Remove the protective cap
Place the wrench on the bleeder screw
Connect a hose to the bleed screw (for example windshield washer hose)
The connection must be completely sealed: if necessary tight the hose with a rislan

Place a 25cl bottle up to the bleed screw
Pour 2 to 3 centimeters of brake fluid in the bottle
Place the other end of the hose to the bottom of the bottle
The brake fluid at the bottom of the bottle prevents air to come back through the pipe when purging
Press 3 or 4 times the brake pedal
Loosen the drain screw a quarter turn
Slightly move several times the brake pedal by the third of the race
Do not press the pedal more than a third of the race: this could damage the seals of the master cylinder if you depress the pedal completely
You can place a block under the pedal to be certain not to exceed one third of the race

Contrôlez le frein en actionnant la pédale qui doit être ferme. Sinon, répéter la purge pour éliminer l'air du circuit de freinage
Faites toujours un essai de freinage après la purge avant de prendre la route car la présence d'air dans le circuit de freinage peut être fatale
Regularly the amount of liquid in the tank: air should never enter into the master cylinder
For a simple purging operation, stop when there are no more bubbles in the pipe
For a complete replacement of the brake fluid let drop from 60 to 100 ml of liquid into the bottle
It is possible that the diameters of the purging screws are different at the rear and at the front: use appropriate diameter hose
Check the brake by moving the pedal wich should be firm. If not, repeat the purge to remove air from the brake system
Always do a braking test after the purge before taking the road because the presence of air in the brake system can be fatal
