【桃太郎伝説のあらすじ】
老婆が川で洗濯をしていると川上から桃が流れてきました。
桃を家に持ち帰ると、桃から男児が生まれ、桃太郎と名前をつけて老夫婦で育てました。
やがて成長した桃太郎は老婆からきびだんごをつくってもらい、鬼ヶ島に鬼退治に出かけます。
途中、イヌ、サル、キジと出会い、きびだんごを渡して家来にしました。
桃太郎は家来と協力して鬼に勝ち、宝物を手にして老父母の待つ家に帰りました。(終)

A peach came flowing upstream from the river when a old woman was wash clothes.
The old woman brought the peach home where a boy was born, and she raised the child and named him Momotaro.
Momotaro who eventually grew up, asked the old woman to create millet dumplings, and heads off to exterminate the demon in Onigashima.
He met with a dog, a monkey and a pheasant during his journey, passed them the millet dumplings and made them his servants.
Momotaro won over the demon with the help of the servants and brought home the treasure back to the home where his old parents are waiting. (End)

When she brought the peach to her home, a little boy was born from the peach, and the old couple named the boy Momotaro and brought him up.
After growing up, Momotaro had the old lady make kibidango (balls of millet), and he goes to the Onigashima island to fight off the oni (demon).
Along the way, he met a dog, a monkey, and Japanese pheasant, and he gave each of them the kibidango, and as a result they became Momotaro's retainer.
Momotaro defeated the demons cooperating with the retainers, and went home to his old parents with many treasures that he won.
