両親の仕事の都合で田舎へ引っ越してきた一条蛍と、越谷姉妹や宮内姉妹などとの日々の光景を描く。そこは「牛横断注意」の看板があったり、バスが2時間おきにしか来ないほどの地方であった。

ちなみに、コマはほたるの私服姿が大人すぎて（コマ目線で、ですが）東京からきた旅行客だと思いこみ、ほたる本人だとは思っていません。ほたるは大好きな先輩と一緒に遊べて舞い上がり、コマの勘違いに気付いていません。

Because of her parents' job, Ichijou Hotaru moves into the countryside. The story follows the daily scenes of her, the Koshigaya sisters and the Miyauchi sisters, among others. That's where "Warning: cows crossing" signs are and where buses pass through only once in two hours.

By the way, Koma says Hotaru is so mature in her casual clothes (in her opinion) that she convinced herself that she's a tourist from Tokyo, not Hotaru herself. Hotaru's happy she can play with her beloved upperclassmen, she doesn't even notice Koma's misunderstanding.
