Australia’s RecruitLoop raises US$500K to make hiring easier in the US
Australian recruitment marketplace startup RecruitLoop has just raised a US$500,000 seed round to fuel its expansion plans in the US.
Founded back in 2011, RecruitLoop is a Sydney-based startup which provides a simpler way to use recruiters to fill job vacancies. The platform claims to offer recruitment services at 10 percent of the traditional cost, by using a series of tools and processes to commoditize the hiring process. This includes an affordable fee-based model where services are charged by the hour, allowing the ability to pay for what you need, and also provide feedback on recruiters and video-screening candidates.

Some of its clients include Sydney crowdsourced design startup DesignCrowd and online retail heavyweight eBay. Through RecruitLoop, DesignCrowd was able to hire a business development manager, a campaign manager, an online marketing manager and other key technology roles at a fraction of the usual cost.

The US$500,000 funding round will be used for RecruitLoop’s expansion to the US and setting up an office there. It will also be used to expand its recruiter network and intensifying its customer acquisition. The seed capital is coming from six investors, including Singapore-based Microsoft executive Todd Forest, Russian seed fund The Untitled VC, and a recruiter based in the Middle East.
RecruitLoop was part of the 10 startups shortlisted for the second batch of the Optus Innov8 Seed Program earlier this year.
