Hello, I am a Software Engineer, born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal currently living and working in England, UK. Besides those two countries, I have studied and worked in several other ones in three continents and still visit with regularity a number of those countries, namely Spain, France, Angola, Brazil, Mexico and the USA.
I started making translations in 1985 while still studying in IST - Lisbon Engineering University and since my studies were on Electronics and Computer Systems, I did focus on Computer and IT areas for translating. Over the years I have come to widen my areas of interest, and my works as a translator have included magazine and newspaper articles on news and music, software application localisation, software application contents and database contents, consumer appliance user manuals, books and papers on general engineering, computer science and information technology, and also business management related subjects.

Olá, sou engenheiro de software, nascido e criado em Lisboa, Portugal e atualmete vivendo e trabalhando no Reino Unido. Para além desses dois países, estudei e trabalhei em vários outros em três continentes e mantenho visitas regulares a alguns desses países, nomeadamente Espanha, França, Angola, Brasil, México e Estados Unidos.
Comecei a fazer traduções em 1985 ainda enquanto estudante de engenharia no Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, e sendo da área de eletrónica e sistemas de computadores, foquei as minhas traduções na área da informática. Ao longo dos anos acabei por ampliar bastante as minhas áreas de interesse e os meus trabalhos como tradutor incluíram artigos de revistas e jornais sobre notícias de atualidade e música, localização de software, conteúdos de aplicações de software e conteúdos de base de dados, manuais de utilizador de aparelhos de consumo, livros e artigos sobre engenharia geral, computação e tecnologias de informação, e ainda área de negócios e gestão.
