著者らはこれまで電気味覚を飲食物に付加する装置として，両極を構内に提示する両極型装置を開発してきた．本論文では新たに人体を回路に用い，1極のみ口内に提示する1極型装置について提案を行う．また，1極型装置の動作の安定性を調査するとともに，1極型装置によって新たに可能となった極性ごとの味質提示において評価を行い，舌面に直接電極を提示した際に得られていた極性変化による味質の差異における知見が飲食物を介した場合も当てはまるかについて実験調査を行った．

Until now, authors have developed a two-pole device that has both of electrodes in the device in order to add the electric taste to food and drink. Using newly the humanbody having a circuit, this paper proposes a one-pole device that means having one pole in the device and the other pole in the mouth. Also, along with examining the safety of the one-pole device's action, this paper evaluates the taste presentation of every polarity that has newly been enabled by the one-pole device. And, it conducted experimental research that a difference in the taste experience due to different polarity that is provided by touching directly polarity to the lingual surface is applicable or not if it is not by directly polarity but by food and drink.
