ひょっとしたら皆ひとりぼっちで、歩いているんじゃないかな。背負い込んだ寂しさを、打ち明けるわけもなく、またいくつもの背中が遠くなる。愛想笑いだけは上手くなってさ、大人にはなれたけど。僕が描いてたのは、そんなものじゃないんだよ。

Could everyone possibly be marching all alone? Again, I see the backs of so many people moving far away, without allowing themselves to unburden the lonliness they've been carrying around. The only thing they've learned is to fake a smile, though that did enable them to turn into grownups. But, no, that's not what I have pictured to be like.
