箸の巻き紙をちぎる
絶対にダメというわけではないが、あまり美しくない。
箸の片方をスライドさせて留め紙をゆるめれば、きれいにはずせる。上手くはずせなければ、係りの人に取ってもらうか、箸を替えてもらう。
折敷（OSHIKI）の上で器をひきずる
折敷の表面は漆塗り等が施されており、非常に傷つきやすい。陶器や磁器の裏側はザラザラになっているため、引きずるとすぐに折敷に傷が入ってしまう。必ず器を両手に持って移動するように心がける。
It's not a terrible thing to do, but it's not very attractive.
If you slide one stick down to the end of the wrapper, you should be able to remove it neatly. If you have trouble removing it get help from the appropriate person, or ask for a different set of chopsticks.
Sliding Things on Top of Oshiki (Lacquered Wooden Trays)
Oshiki are wooden trays to which lacquer has been applied. Their surfaces are very easy to scratch. The bottom surfaces of ceramic pieces and china are often rough in texture, so if you slide them on the oshiki you may easily damage it. Take care to always use both hands to pick up the vessel and move it.
おしぼりでテーブルをふく
おしぼりは手をふくためのもの。テーブルにこぼしたときは、少量ならば和紙を二つ折りにした「懐紙（KAISHI）」でふき取るのがスマート。多量にこぼした場合は、台ふきをもらうか、係りの人にふいてもらう。
椀（WAN）のふたをそのまま置く
水滴が垂れないよう椀の上で雫を切ってから、逆さにして折敷の外に置くのが正解。折敷（OSHIKI）に傷をつけないように、折敷の中には邪魔なものを置かない。食べ終わったら蓋を戻して折敷の端へ置く。
Oshibori are towels used to dry hands. When something has spilled on a table, the best practice, if it is a small spill, is to use "kaishi", which is washi (Japanese paper) divided in two. For a bigger spill, ask for a daifuki (cloth used to wipe tables or counters), or have someone in charge wipe it up.
Leaving Bowl (WAN) Lids In Position
The correct thing to do is to hold the lid of the bowl over the bowl until it stops dripping, then turn it upside down and place it outside of the oshiki, or lacquered tray. Do not place anything on the oshiki that might get in the way, so as not to damage it. When you have finished eating, return the lid to the bowl and leave it near the oshiki.
Oshibori are used to clean your hand. If you spill a little on the table, it is smart to wipe with KAISHI, folded over the washi paper. If you spill largely, you receive a cloth or get it cleaned by a person in charge.
Put a top of wan bowl as it is
This is a correst answer that put the top which is turned upside down on the outside of OSHIKI after shaking off drops so as not to drip down. To avoid damaging OSHIKI, you must not put the unnecessary in the OSHIKI. After eating, you put the top on wan bowl again and set on the corner of the OSHIKI.
手盆で食べる
汁や醤油がこぼれそうなとき、つい手を添えてしまいがちだが、これはやってはいけない作法の代表例。懐紙を受け皿として使うのが、もっとも美しくみえる作法。ない場合は器を持てばよい。
魚をひっくり返して食べる
面倒だからといって魚をひっくり返すのはNG。上身を食べた後に、頭を左手で押さえながら、中骨と下身の間に箸を入れて骨をはずす。骨を皿の向こうに置いた後、下身を食べるのが正しい作法。
When soup or soy sauce begins to spill, it is natural to try to stop it with one's hand, but this is an example of something one should not do. It is much better manners to get a kaishi and put it under the bowl as you would a plate. If that's not possible, it's fine to hold the bowl.
Turning Fish Over While Eating
Flipping a fish over so that it is easier to eat will not do. When you have finished eating the upper half, steady the fish by holding its head with your left hand and then insert your chopsticks into the middle and lower portions of the fish to remove the bones. It is polite to then place the bones on the far side of your plate and proceed to eat the lower half of the fish.
かけ湯をせずにタオルとともに入浴する
入浴前に体の汚れを落とすのは、最低限のマナー。お湯が周囲の人にかからないよう、座った状態で静かに行う。湯船にタオルをつけると不衛生なので絶対に避けること。
共有スペースを浴衣で歩く
旅館によっては、浴衣で部屋の外を歩くのを好ましくないとしているところ。部屋を出る際は備え付けの半纏（HANTEN）を着用する。宿の中でも、きちんとした身なりを心がけたい。
