遊戯王は主人公である武藤遊戯は祖父の倉庫からばらばらの状態であった千年パズルを見つけ組み立てると、古代エジプトのファラオの魂が遊戯に憑依してしまいます。
しかし、遊戯に憑依したファラオには記憶がありませんでした。この物語は遊戯に憑依したファラオがカードゲームを通して失った記憶を取り戻すお話です。
遊戯は内気で人と関わるのが苦手ですが、とても優しい性格の少年です。
大会で優勝して得られた賞金を、妹の手術費を稼ごうとしていた友達の城之内に渡す行動から遊戯の優しさが伝わります。
