'Hikiyama gyoji' is a festival that continuously celebrated since 18th century in Akita city Tsuchizaki area , Akita Prefecture.
It is listed Japanese Important Intangible Folk Cultural Properties,celebrate for 2days from 20 to 21 July every year,is also called as 'Minato matsuri' in local Tsuchizaki.
Souan Tsumura introduce Hikiyama gyoji of 1789 in his travel note 'Yukino furumiti'. describe as ' almost 40 floats was pulled with rhythm of gongs, tutumi ,pipe and shiyamisen,it was so lively.'
