Many of WeChat’s nearly 400 million monthly active users follow these types of accounts, which makes the app double as a news reader. WeChat Unveils an Ad Network for Public Accounts

WeChat unveils today a new self-serve advertising system for public accounts to monetize the traffic of their accounts or buy display ad placements in WeChat pages of other public accounts.

There are two categories of public accounts on WeChat platform, service account and subscription account. Both are able to deliver text and image messages to subscribers, and the major difference between the two is service accounts can take payments through WeChat Payment, a mobile payment solution. So far most subscription accounts are operated by content providers such as media, and businesses who’d leverage WeChat to do business would register service accounts.

Alibaba’s Mapping Company AutoNavi Rolls out a Gadget to Accompany Its Navigation App

AutoNavi, the mapping company of Alibaba, launched a coin-sized gadget called Xiaomi (means young secretary), today. Its core function is launch the AutoNavi navigation app in your smartphone with one click.

The gadget is also a tracker that will trigger an alarm whenever your smartphone gets out of the border of an area, and vice versa.

A third function is it’s enable to trigger your smartphone camera. The price isn’t announced.

We have received an inquiry from our repairer regarding MCINTOSH C32 preampliphier. They found out that the reason of no sound is due to the corrosion of the specific cable that connects those internal boards. The repair fee is likely to be very costly as it has much rusted. I bidded this item because it had received the maintenance quite recently as in 2013 though. I am very disappointed. I will put it for repair because it won't work without it though.
