日本家具産業振興会は、10月17日から19日まで、東京ビッグサイトで開催する 「IFFT」の概要を発表した。9月18日現在で、12か国から305社が出展する。

5回目となる今回は、姉妹見本市「インテリア ライフスタイル（6月開催）」と同様に４人のCreative Directionにより大きくリニューアル。見本市のコンセプトから特別企画、会場構成までが見直された。
特に5つの特別企画は、モノ、デザイン、住まいから店舗までの空間構成に関わる業界関係者のニーズに応えるべく設けたもの。

International Development Association of the Furniture Industry of Japan (IDAFIJ) announced the outline of the 'IFFT' which will be held at Tokyo Big Site, from 17th to 19th October. 305 companies from 12 countreis are going to participate, as of 19th September.

This is the fifth IFFT and it will be grealy renewed by 4 Creative Direction, as the sister trade show 'Interior Lifestyle' was, which was held in June. The concept, special exhibition, and the venue layout of the show has been revised this time.
Especially the 5 special exhibitions are organized to meet the needs of the industry dealing with substantial goods, design, and design of space, including houses and stores.

「素材と造作のちから」は、マテリアル・造作家具に焦点を当てた、新ビジネス創出を推進する特別企画。
コンセプトディレクターを務めた建築家の芦沢啓治氏は、「完成品よりも素材や技術にフォーカスした一風変わった展示になると思う」と話し、今回はアクリル、組子などの出品があると説明した。
また、「友達の家に行くと本棚の中身が気になるように、われわれ建築家は、ほかの建築家のバックヤードにどんな素材があるのかが気になる」と、6人の建築家が注目するリソースを展示する企画も発表した。

The exhibition 'Power of Materials and Techniques' is a special exhibition which focuses on materials and custom-made furnitures and it promotes to create new businesses.
The concept director Mr Keiji Ashizawa, an architect says 'The exhibitions will be a unique one which will focus on the materials and techniques, rather than on the furniture itself',explaining that some acrylic works and wooden works done without using any nail will be exhibited.
Moreover, he says 'If you visit your friends' house, you will be curious about what's in the book shelfs. We architects feel the same way and get curious about what kind of materials are there in other architects' backyard', and announced another exhibition, which will be showing resources that 6 architects are now paying attentions to.

コンベンション事業協会の女性部会が「インスペクションツアー」を開催。女性15人、男性5人が参加した。

円形状のステージとすり鉢状の客席を備えた劇場空間「アンフィシアター」の視察では、舞台、客席、バックステージの見学、技術的・専門的な解説、コンベンション利用についての質疑応答が行なわれた。参加者たちは、ステージと客席の一体感や天井の高さなどに関心を示し、新たなＭＩＣＥ施設としての期待を高めた。

シアター視察後は隣接する「ディズニーアンバサダーホテル」の宴会場・客室を見学した。

The Women's Group of Convention Planners Association of Japan held a inspection tour, where 15 women and 5 men participated.

At the visit of theatre space 'Amphi Theater' with a circular stage and a mortar-shaped auditorium, they looked around the stage, audience seats, and back stage, listened to the explanations on the technical and professional matters, and participated in the Q&A session on the convention usage of the theatre. They were interested in that the stage and audience seats were in harmony with each other and that it had a high ceiling, and raised expectations for its usage as a new MICE facility.

After visiting the theatre, they had a tour at banquet halls and guest rooms of the adjacent Disney Ambassador Hotel.
