The characters, mostly deserters who've fled either their military obligations or their servitude to a specific master, fall under the dark spell of O'Neil (Michael Smiley), an avowed necromancer who terrorizes the rest into helping him find a buried stash of gold while they're under the influence of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

الشخصيات في الغالب هي لمتخلفين عن الخدمه الذين أما هربوا من ألتزاماتهم العسكريه أو عبوديتهم لسيد معين .يقعون تحت تعويذه مظلمه ل أونيل (مايكل سمايلي )الذي هو مستحضر للأرواح معترف به والذي يرهب البقيه من أجل مساعدته لأيجاد مخبأ مدفون من الذهب فيما يكونون تحت تأثير فطر الهلوسه.

At first, they just film each other doing dumb stunts involving laundry baskets and staircases. Hector draws a penis on Jesse's face while he sleeps. Hilarity ensues. They do shots of tequila with Jesse's feisty grandmother (Renee Victor). The only reason this banal footage has any entertainment value is because of the two actors. Their energy together feels unselfconscious; it doesn't feel like acting. They seem like real boys, real friends.

في البدايه , قامو فقط بتصوير أحدهما الاخر وهم يقومون بفعاليات غبيه تتضمن أستخدام سلال الغسيل والسلالم. هيكتور يرسم قضيباً ذكرياً على وجه جيسي وهو نائم . يبدأ المرح .يشربون كوؤس التيكيلا مع جدة جيسي المفعمه بالحيويه(رينيه فيكتور.السبب الوحيد لوجود كميه المتعه في هذا المقطع هو الممثلين الأثنين.طاقتهما معاً تبدو عفوية ,ولا تبدو كأنها تمثيل. هم يبدون كشباب حقيقين ,أصدقاء حقيقين .

The success of this gambit entails a range of fine performances, especially in the lead roles. Bewigged and whiskered, Fiennes creates an exuberant portrait of Dickens that encompasses his vanity and selfishness as well as his bounteousness and thirst for life. As Nelly, the luminous Jones conveys the young woman's mix of awe, intoxication and anxiety as she is drawn inexorably into the orbit of a powerful older man.

في المراحل الأولى من القصه على وجه الخصوص عندما يتم تبادل الانجذاب بين العشاق من خلال اكثر النظرات والأيماءات رقه . أن نجاح هذه الأفتتاحية يتتبعه سلسله من الاداء الممتاز, وخصوصاُ في الادوار الرئيسية .مرتديا شعره المستعار ولحيته الخشنه,يخلق فينس صوره فائقه الروعه لديكنز والتي تبين غروره وأنانيته بالاضافه الى كرمه وعطشه للحياة.أما بالنسبه لنيلي فأن جونز المبدع يصور مزيج المرأه الشابه من الرهبه والأبتهاج والتلهف الشديد وهي تنجذب بدون محالة في مدار رجل قوي واكبر سناً.

But maybe I'm not giving Dolan enough credit here. He himself is gay, so maybe it's unfair to peg him as a mere spotlight-stealing ally. Maybe he truly tried with all his heart but failed to convince me. The most obvious issue with the film that I'm far from the first to point out is that it's about twice as long as it needs to be. This is of course a fairly simplistic criticism, but the more pressing fallout from this is that it ends up burying our two leads' under an avalanche of white noise. What instead dominates the film is Dolan peacocking his visual technique in an attempt to be recognized as a serious auteur, and many are buying it, declaring him a prodigy.

ربما لمن امنح دولان الفخر الكافي هنا.انه شاذ جنسياً, فلربما سيكون من غير العادل التصفيق له كمجرد حليف للسرقه تحت الاضواء. ربماً يكون حاول بصدق ومن كل قلبه ولكنه فشل في اقناعي .من أكثر المسائل وضوحاً عن الفلم والتي ٍسأكون بعيدا من كوني أول من يشير لها هو كونه طويلا بمقدار ضعف ما كان يجب أن يكون.وهذا بكل عدل مجرد نقد مبسط,ولكن الاكثر هدما من هذا هو أنه ينتهى بدفن قياداتنا الاثنين"تحت أنهيار ثلجي من الضوضاء البيضاء .وبخلاف ذلك فأن ما يهيمن على الفلم هو تفاخر دولان بفنه الصوري في محاوله للأعتراف به كمؤلف جاد, والعديد وقعو قد سلموا بهذا الشئ ,أعلانه كمعجزه
