・自然との密接な関りを持つ日本の伝統的な暮らしを、現代的な素材を用いてデザインした。
・住宅設計では、周辺環境との調和の中でｸﾗｲｱﾝﾄ毎の個性を表現出来る楽しさがある。
・先ず屋根の軒の出を大きくとり、夏の直射日光を遮る様にした。また落葉樹の樹々は夏冬ともに陽射しの調整をする役割をしている。
外壁に使用した火山灰は、夏に“打ち水”をする事により気化熱作用で建物内外の温度上昇を抑制する。
・その素材感は独特で、建物の外観を非常に魅力的なものにしている。
