Relinquish certain responsibilities
Your main job is to manage, plan for, and support your employees. If you continue to hold the power in your office, employees will never learn to accept the responsibility of doing the complete job. They will not be ready to accept a higher level job because they haven't been trained to take on that kind of responsibility. And you will be constantly called upon to make decisions that will intrude on the time you should be spending to plan, deal with problems, and motivate your staff.
However, don't make the mistake of telling your employees that they are going to make all the decisions. You should always reserve the right to make certain: decisions.
