ナツメ：「て、徹夜すること前提で返事をしたの？！　しかも一人でやるつもりで！」

ミズキ：「徹夜する体力もないオバサンはもう引退しろって意味を込めて、やり遂げてみせるよ」

　それは強がりでも何でもない、自信があるから言えることだった。
　徹夜なんてミズキは今まで何度もしてきたのだ。大半が「眠ったら死ぬ」という状況下ではあったが。

　貧民街の者たちなら、このくらい経験している。

Mizuki : "Within today... that means it's by tomorrow's 1am which is 25th hour if I don't sleep. It'll be alright"

Natsume : "Wha... you said you'd do it knowing you would not sleep? Just by yourself?!"

Mizuki : "I will do it so I can indirectly give her a hint that an old lady like her with no stamina to stay up all night should retire"

Mizuki says so not because he is trying to put on a brave front, but because he has a confidence.
Mizuki has done some all-nighters on several occasions. Most of them were under the situation whereby "he would die if he did sleep".

This is nothing new for people from slums.
