焼成は、窯の温度や時間の調整・配分まで綿密に計算し、仕上がりの偶発性を程度考慮しながら行い、窯の中で溶け合った釉薬は陶彩画独特の色彩を放ちます。

Porcelain painting describes the meticulous process of gradually imprinting or painting art designs onto plain ceramic with enamel. The initial sketch of the painting is fused to the porcelain by baking it in a kiln. Once this is completed, additional details are gradually added to the painting as the porcelain is repeatedly fired in the kiln to ensure each layer bonds to the working surface.
By ensuring that everything from the temperature of the kiln up to the firing time for each individual layer and collectively is carefully controlled, and by keeping a watchful eye out for any unexpected mishaps, a talented artist is able to skilfully blend together the layers of overglaze painting in order to showcase the unique hues characteristic in porcelain painting artwork.
