警備員は、空間を漂い、空間を俯瞰していく存在である。
私はかつて展示場である現代美術館の警備員のバイトをしていた。
このとき、私はまるで水の上を浮かぶ舟の様に空間の上に浮かんで移動しているような感覚があった。かつて、この美術館の場所には水路があり、埋め立てられた上に建築が建てられた。この知識がきっと警備員の私が、美術館の建築を巡回している折に、舟の上に乗って浮遊するような感覚にしていたのだと思う。
