Google Calendar launches for iPhone

Google today launched Google Calendar for iPhone. You can download the new app now directly from Apple’s App Store.

Until now, Google Calendar was only available on iOS via Google Sync. Now the company has finally released a native app for Apple’s mobile platform.

Because the app has the same features as its Android counterpart, it also has the new additions from the last major revamp in November. At the time Google promised that “yes, we’re also working on a version for iPhone” but didn’t offer a release date.

Googleは今日、iPhone向けGoogleカレンダーをローンチした。AppleのApp Storeから直接、この新しいアプリをダウンロードできる。

これまではGoogleカレンダーをiOSで利用するには、Google Syncを介する必要があった。Googleはこのたびやっと、Appleのモバイルプラットフォームで使えるネイティブアプリをリリースしたのだ。

今回のアプリにはAndroid版と同じ機能があるため、11月に行われた直近の大型改良の際に新しく追加された機能も備えている。当時Googleは、「ええ、iPhone版も開発中です」と約束はしていたが、リリース日を明言しなかった。
