China’s Group Buy Top 20

The market share in China, by revenue, up to the end of August (pictured above) shows that Tencent is still the leader. Below QQ Tuan, however, it’s still a choppy sea of rough competition. Meituan has slipped from second place in June to fourth in August; Manzuo from its third ranking down to fifth; 24Quan from fourth to eighth; and FTuan – which bagged US$60 million in funding this week – from sixth to tenth.

We were surprised to see that 55Tuan – whom we recently saw being sued by a comedian for using his image without permission – rose from ninth to be ranked second behind Tencent.
